Top 10 Chinese Science Achievements News Released

    The Biochip developed by Tsinghua University came out on the list of the 10 most important scientific achievements made by Chinese scientists in the past year, according to a survey conducted among 485 top Chinese scientists.

    The top 10 major achievements were chosen by 485 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences or Chinese Academy of Engineering from many options. The results of the survey were announced by the CCTV news channel on January 4.

    Similarly, the successful launching of the Tsinghua-1 Microsatellite was selected as a one of a top ten Chinese Science News of the year 2000. As the country's first mini-satellite, the 50 kilogram Tsinghua-1 Microsatellite, launched aboard at a Russian COSMOS rocket on June 28, 2000.
