Opening Ceremony 2008 Fall Semester




On the morning of September 1, 2008, the 2008 fall opening ceremony of LL.M Chinese Law Program, which was presided over by Professor Wang Chenguang, was held in the Mourt Court, Mingli Building. Approximately, 34 foreign students, accompanied by their host students attended the ceremony.
Firstly, Professor Wang Zhenmin, the new dean of Tsinghua Law School, delivered the welcome speech. In his speech, dean Wang not only introduced the history of Tsinghua University, and Tsinghua Law School, but also the future development of Law School. Besides, he emphasized the importance of learning skills of settling disputes between people, nations, and countries. Then, he hoped that all of the foreign students could live and study together happily.
Secondly, Professor Wang Bing, Professor Fu Tingzhong, and Professor Chen Weizuo respectively expressed their warm welcome for the foreign students.
Thirdly, Professor Wang Chenguang vividly gave an brief introduction of LL.M Program. He said, in Tsinghua Law School, the Professors would not only teach students the legal knowledge, but also tell students the essence of Chinese law and how it interacted with China¨s rich culture, dynamic economic growth and complex social transition. Later, Hui Jiang, on behalf of the Student Union, introduced the Student Union and various student activities.
At 10:40 a.m., the opening ceremony ended, and all the students came to classroom 531 for their first class.
Opening Ceremony 2007 Fall Semester

The 2007 fall Opening Ceremony of LL.M Chinese Law Program was held at 9:30 a.m. on the 31st of August. Professor Betty Ho presided over the ceremony. 32 students, who come from the U.S.A, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, Singapore and so on, attended the ceremony with their host students.
At first, professor WANG Chenguang, the dean of Law School, addressed the opening ceremony. He briefly introduced the Law School and hoped that every student has a wonderful experience during their studies at Tsinghua University. Later, HUI Jiang, on behalf of the Student Union, introduced the Student Union and various student activities.
At 11:00 a.m., the opening ceremony ended with Chinese classical music.
Opening Ceremony 2006 Fall Semester



On the morning of September 1, accompanying with the classic and grace folk music, the openingceremony of 2006(LL.M.)PROGRAM IN CHINESE LAW was holding in the Mourt Court Mingli Buiding. Dean of LawSchool. Professor WANG Chenguang presided the ceremony. Over 32 new foreign students and 10 faculties attended.
At first, Professor WANG expressed his warm welcome to all the students, then he gave a whole introduction of LL.M Program in Chinese law right now launching in TsinghuaLawSchool. He said teachers here would not only teachstudents the black-letter law, but also told you insights and appreciation of Chinese law, how it interacted with China¨s rich culture, dynamic economic growth and complex social transition. He wished all students would be interested in and get reward from Chinese Law.
After Professor WANG¨s lecture, a chinese student representative released her congratulations to all students for joining TsinghuaLawSchool. She talked about her experiences on studying Law and wished her speech could help the LLM students to get some idea about Chinese Law. Her English speech was warmly welcomed.
Following ,a student from student union gave another speech welcoming all the LLM students.to join the student¨s union.
From now on, the students will begin studying in Chinese Law. The courses will last for one year.
Opening Ceremony 2005 Fall Semester
The Opening Ceremony of LL.M Chinese Law Program was held at 9:00 a.m. on Sep. 1. Chenguang Wang, Dean, made a welcome speech and a brief introduction to the Law School. Then the LL.M. students introduced themselves and met with School of Law Faculty. More than 15 professors attended the ceremony, including Prof. Betty Ho, Prof. Zhaojie Li, etc. After tea break, Xiaojie Lu, the Executive Director of the program, gave the LL.M. students some course advising and degree information, and then answered various questions about life and study in Tsinghua University. At the end of the ceremony, introductions of student organizations were given to the LL.M. students.
