Department of Foreign Languages

The Department of Foreign Languages and Literature was set up in 1925, with majors in English, French and German. After 1949 a Russian languages group was added.

In 1983 the Department of Foreign Languages was re-established. At present it isresponsible for teaching English, French, German, Japanese and Russian to studentsin all departments. In addition, there is an English major section, with a Bachelor'sprogram to train English majors who also take courses in science and technology,as well as an Mastor's program training future teachers of English for universities. At present the Department has 10 professors, 27 associate professors, andseveral foreign teachers.
